Yoonhae Ha (Boys Soccer) played solid defense to hold top-ranked Hudson to a scoreless first half.
Rajeev Patil (Boys Cross Country) has consistently made an immediate impact on the varsity boys cross team this fall since joining our program as a freshman this season. Rajeev scored his first varsity points of the season during week 8 at the Woodridge CVNP Invitational finishing in the top 5 for the Comets en route to a 3rd place overall team finish. Rajeev consistently brings a competitive & positive energy to our team each day & we are better for it. Keep chopping wood!
Fred Patton (Boys Soccer) His strong midfield play helped to spark a strong second half to defeat Eastlake North 2-0.
Brennen Schwartz (Boys Soccer) partnered with Carter to patrol a back line that shut out Shaker Heights in the District Final.

Brady Bush (Football)
Malec Jirari (Boys Soccer) had a beautiful goal against Brecksville, keeping the Comets in the game during a hard fought battle.
Jordan Levenhagen (Girls Soccer) has been a strong presence in goal all season & made some great saves during our wins against Mentor and Wadsworth.
Rachel Pawlicki (Girls XC) is one of our 5 seniors on the team. She has improved all season & always works incredibly hard with a smile on her face.
Sid Roy (Boys XC) has steadily climbed the team rankings since joining our program this August. Sid's climb escalated to new heights at the Strongsville Invitation when he finished 8th overall for the Comets, scoring for our JV team en route to a 4th place team finish out of 30 total teams. Sid is a tremendous addition to our program & consistently prioritizes competing. Keep up the strong work!
Autumn Shaw (Volleyball) is an important piece of our team & can truly be plugged into any spot & play well there. She has earned a number of kills from the middle & right side this year. What is most impressive about Autumn is that she is an absolutely phenomenal teammate & chooses to put the team above herself on a daily basis

Reese Hoegler (Volleyball) came alive in our match against Brecksville and helped us to compete in a 5 set thriller against them. She has racked up a number of digs & kills this season, & is one of our team leaders in serve receive also.
Ava Miller (Girls XC) has been in our top 4 finishers all season. She has been the top 9th grader finisher for the team & continues to improve with every meet.
Kylee Mohler (Girls Soccer) is a utility player that can play wherever we need her & dominates. Game play is constant & we can’t take her off the field!

Ayden Staninger (Boys XC) Throughout his sophomore season, Ayden has scored for the Comets in every varsity race. Ayden brings consistent competitive energy to his team each week. The 2024 season has found Ayden running a minute or more faster per 5K than he did a year ago. Ayden continued his varsity scoring streak during week 6 at the vaunted Boardman Spartan Invitational that featured over 40 teams in the varsity race. Strong work Ayden! Keep chopping wood!
Zachary Stein (Boys Golf) had his career best round at Sectionals...One of the best players the last 2 weeks.
Evan Sussman (Boys Soccer) While having a great attitude during every practice & game, played lockdown defense during both games this week.
Kaidi Wang (Girls Golf) has made serious strides in her game throughout the season. She works diligently at practice & if she continues this way, she should have a very bright future in her high school golf career.

to improve her game & is beginning to see the results of her
hard work. Her attitude & enthusiasm are contagious on the golf
course, & she has done a great job leading the team this season
as our lone senior.

Hayleigh Hoegler (Cheerleading) Even as one of the
younger Varsity squad members, Hayleigh has jumped into the
challenge headfirst! She’s got tons of spunk & energy,
but also the dedication to keep pushing herself to be her best.
Hayleigh takes direction like a pro & is always double-checking
to make sure she’s doing things right. She’s eager to
learn & always follows through. We can't wait to see how she
continues to grow!
Sydney Lader (Girls XC) finished first for our
team at the competitive Boardman Invitational, helping us earn a
4th place finish out of 31 teams.

Geauga.

Leah Carson (Cheerleading) is such a bright
& dedicated part of our squad, always bringing a smile and a
great attitude. She’s a natural leader without even trying,
& her energy lifts everyone around her. Leah’s talent
& work ethic make her someone we can always count on, &
we’re so lucky to have her on the team. She’s truly a
force to be reckoned with!

a 6-0 win over Nordonia.

Rowan Kavanagh (Girls Golf) has come extremely
close to setting her personal best score a few times, & it can
all be traced back to her commitment to improve her game. With a
little more consistency, she will achieve all of her golf goals in
no time!

Lexi Brown (Girls Golf) joined the team this season after not playing as a freshman. She persevered through some early natural struggles & has recently begun to see some improvements. She has the drive & dedication to continue to work hard in practice to reach her goals on the course.
Matthew Contipelli (Boys Golf) shot 38 in a win vs. Willoughby. He shot 36 in win vs. WRA, & he shot 37 in a victory at Nordonia.
Evan Halperin (Boys XC) led the Comets JV team across the finish line at the Hilliard Davidson Hot Summer Bash last weekend, finishing 16th place overall. Evan ran nearly a minute personal best time for 5K, finishing in 18:35. Evan demonstrated impressive grit & sense of competitiveness as he battled back and forth with the leaders throughout the race. Strong work Evan! Keep chopping wood!
Morgan Hillman (Girls XC) PR'd at the Hilliard Davidson Hot Summer Bash. She is a leader on the team & always striving for her best.
Rowan Hirsh (Boys Soccer) had a hat trick in a 5-1 win over Akron North.
Tyler Morrison (Boys Soccer) has pushed the team during practices, winning the two-mile run & earning productive minutes.
Ella Nasca (Cheerleading) This is Ella's first year as an SHS Cheerleader but she is no stranger to the sport. She has been instrumental in helping us start our building/stunting era here at SHS! Ella is supportive & respectful to her squad & coaches & is always willing & wanting to work & improve as a whole unit. We are so glad she joined us for her senior year!

Claire Bush (Volleyball) faced adversity with a smile with teammates returning from injury & being moved around with a few different rotations and put up numbers for the team with kills, digs, assists, and was a consistent server as well.
Christiano Davili (Boys soccer) had a goal & an assist in the last two games, leading to two wins. ~
Adriana Friedman (Girls Tennis) played an impressive match against her Mayfield HS opponents. She won 6-2, 6-0. Good job on all your hard work!
Marin Howard (Girls XC) competed in our preseason invitational & finished 5th for our team at our home meet this past weekend. Marin is a hard worker and improving each week and race.
Noah Konheim (Boys Soccer) had a goal in each of the last two games, with one providing the winning margin in a 1-0 win.
Sonia LaMarre (Girls Soccer) scored a total of 9 goals in the first three games of the season. Sonia has ignited our offense and playing great team defense.
Paulina Loffe (Girls Tennis) played a tough match against her opponent trying to carry the team to victory.
Jania Daniels McGee (Volleyball) was a huge server for us last week, kept a positive & competitive attitude through adversity in our games, & was a consistent player through a handful of kills, service points, & was even a dig leader last week to help us to our first win at Normandy.
Samantha Miller (Girls Golf) persevered through some challenges on the golf course this week. She provided an excellent example to her teammates of how to fight through some struggles & not let a bad hole ruin the rest of your round.

Maxim Towers (Boys Soccer) His stellar defensive play has held the opposition to less than a goal per game.
Victoria Dai (Girls Tennis) is a great teammate & played in a difficult match against her Kenston opponent.
Fasi Embacher (Boys Soccer) scored 2 goals within 30 seconds in a 3-1 win vs. Orange.
Vince Feudo (Boys Golf) shot 81 at Hudson Invitational including a 38 on the back nine. He also had an 83 at Pine Hills in the first Suburban Tournament.
Dylan Hershey (Boys Soccer) gracefully & adeptly managed a position change to provide effective midfield play to help win the season opener.
Jimmer McMeechan (Boys Soccer) managed 6 saves, many in critical waning moments, to help secure a win his high school debut.
Mia Patriarco (Girls Soccer) was selected for her great leadership & high standard she sets for herself & her teammates; always brings her best effort & scored an amazing upper 90 goal during preseason.
Matthew Scipione (Boys XC) paced his team with an individual Top 10 Finish at the OHSAA Preseason Invitational; ran a determined race working to complete with the lead pack throughout the race, finishing time 16.21, is a lifetime best 5K time for him by over 30 seconds.
Serena Wu (Girls Golf) has begun this season in dominant fashion & was the tournament medalist in all 3 events thus far; She sets an outstanding example for her teammates of hard work & dedication to her craft, She is a tremendous leader for our team.
