Team Parent Representative Roles and Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between Solon Athletic Boosters and the team.
  • Explain to team athletes and parents what boosters is, what we do, what we provide, and how we help individual teams and athletes.  Click here to visit our general Team Parent page for this information.
  • Encourage families to support Solon Athletic Boosters by joining at any membership level.
  • Let families know on line payment and registration is also available at our website, www.solonathleticboosters.com.
  • Direct families to visit solonathleticboosters.com for updated club information.
  • Hand out Solon Athletic membership forms at your parent meeting.  Click here to download a paper membership form to have available for families.
  • Communicate to families that the percentage of membership to Solon Athletic Boosters per team is considered when reviewing team funding requests for special items.
  • Encourage parents to attend fundraisers and provide information to them regarding fundraisers.
  • Stress the importance of teams working at concession stands and/or other fundraising activities.
  • Coordinate a “Team Basket” for the annual Dinner and Raffle February fundraiser.
  • Add funds for the team basket to the budget when collecting money for team meals, coach gifts, etc.  Be sure the “value” for these baskets range from $250-$500.
  • Coordinate team spirit wear orders through Spirit Store Team Sales rep Natalie Mandry at mandrys5@roadrunner.com.  These sales help to fund senior athlete scholarships.
  • Coordinate state competition individual yard signs through Spirit Store Team Sales rep Natalie Mandry at mandrys5@roadrunner.com.
  • Order commemorative t-shirts for athletes and their coaches who are competing at the state level  through Spirit Store Team Sales rep Natalie Mandry at mandrys5@roadrunner.com.
  • Turn in receipts for senior gifts using the reimbursement form.  Team will receive $75 for senior gifts (for 1-5 seniors total; $10 for every additional senior over 5) once the form and receipts are submitted.
  • Turn in reimbursement form and receipts for items purchased for the end of the season banquet.  The team will receive up to $50 to off-set the cost of the program.
